I♡Youth2 Accessibility

Information about our studio space in the Lloyd Center Mall.

  • LOCATION:

I♡Youth2 is located on the first floor of the Lloyd Center mall, in B122 (near the ice rink, between Hot Topic and Secondhand Pet Supply). If you enter the mall on the second floor, you can access the first floor via stairs, escalator, or elevator (all located centrally near the ice rink).

  • PARKING:

The above-ground lot off of N Halsey Street near NE 14th Ave is the most popular and secure parking area at the Lloyd Center. The nearest parking to I♡Youth2 is the small covered garage with an entrance on Multnomah Street at NE 11th Ave.

  • ENTRANCE & ACCESS:

The I♡Youth2 doorway is 72” wide, there are no steps in the space.

If you register for programming that begins before the mall opens for the day, we will contact you via email before the camp/workshop start date to tell you which entrance to use.

  • ACCOMMODATIONS:

Please let us know if a I♡Youth2 participant needs accommodations, and we will do our best to meet them. We welcome youth to bring items like sensory/stim toys, noise reduction headphones, etc.

  • RESTROOM:

I♡Youth2 has a single stall, all gender restroom. The doorway is 36” wide. The restroom is marked as wheelchair accessible, and has a bar on the left side of the toilet.

During youth programming, the I♡Youth2 restroom is for youth participants and staff only; visitors and parents may use the public Lloyd Center restrooms.

  • WIFI:

I♡Youth2 has dedicated wifi for youth programming. Parents and visitors may use the Lloyd Center’s public wifi.

  • FOOD & DRINKS:

Campers, parents, staff, contractors, and other visitors are welcome to bring labeled, nut-free snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. Please note that I♡Youth2 does not have the ability to refrigerate or heat food.

  • ALLERGIES:

I♡Youth2 strives to be a nut-free space, though we cannot guarantee this–particularly as we are located inside a mall with public access. However, please do not bring in any food or products that contain nuts/nut products.

  • SCENTS:

I♡Youth2 strives to be a low-scent space, though we cannot guarantee this–particularly as we are located inside a mall with public access. We use unscented cleaning products in the space, and there is unscented soap in our restroom. We ask that campers, parents, staff, and other visitors not use heavily scented products (like perfume) before coming in. This helps protect folks with allergies and scent sensitivities, who can be impacted for days after exposure.

  • LIGHTING:

I♡Youth2 has overhead spot and recessed lighting, with some fluorescents. It also gets a lot of daylight on sunny days.

  • SOUND:

I♡Youth2 will sometimes have music playing, we’re happy to adjust the volume for everyone’s comfort. There is some ambient sound that comes into the space from the ice rink, HotTopic, and other parts of the mall as well. During some events sound levels and the space in general may be reasonably/necessarily louder (but will never be so loud as to impact other mall tenants/businesses).

  • AIR

I♡Youth2 is an indoor space with high ceilings, heat, and air conditioning. We also run two HEPA rated air purifiers during programming.

  • COVID PRECAUTIONS:

In some cases, by instructor request, programming may be masks-required or masks-encouraged (noted in programming descriptions).

In general, please be mindful that wearing an N95/KN95 is the best tool to reduce the risk of spreading any virus, which protects our whole community–particularly immune compromised, chronically ill, and disabled community members.

I♡Youth2 has both youth and adult sized KN95s available in our space.

I♡Youth2 has hand sanitizer available by our entrance and front desk, and a sink in our restroom for hand-washing.
